Brothers!
Anders will have a little brother soon! The first scan shows baby boy #2. The second set of pix shows Anders above baby boy #2 for the same 4D scan (20ish weeks). They look a lot alike to me so I thought it would be fun to show them to you together. We had the ultrasound yesterday and everything looked great. Love, Kirsten

And the contest winner is...
....SARAH! here's her winning schematic above. it may not really be to scale but I think the wading pool with floating lights really set this entry apart.
So looks like Sarah gets to choose Miles' middle name. Thanks for all the great suggestions though, and I'm honored that you guys would consider naming the baby after me! (you meant me, right Nancy?).
Katrina - i liked Christoffer a lot (maybe with the more traditional spelling) because if sarah gets her name hyphenated i'm going to call him "Chris Chris"

Contest
I'm announcing the first-ever TrunkBigEars competition! The winner will get to pick Miles's middle name (with reasonable parental veto rights).
In our new apartment, Andrew and I have access to an all-cement backyard that's at least 20' x 20'. The backyard is about a 3.5-4 foot drop from our big kitchen window. The apartments above us have access via a fire escape but rarely use the space. The yard is surrounded on three sides by tall (>10') solid (not chain link) fences and on one side by our building. (I'll post a picture soon.)

Here is the contest:
- Come up with a safe way for pregnant mom and mom & baby to easily get outside without simultaneously making the apartment incredibly easy to burgle.
- Create a design for flowerbed gardens in the all-cement backyard. We want at least one for herbs and at least one for flowers.
- Plan patio furniture, a grill, and seating for 20 (for the awesome backyard parties we'll be having this summer).
- Suggest ways to accomplish the entire backyard scheme for less than $500.
